  A Successor chapter to the Salamanders Chapter.  Created in response to a rapidly growing Ork empire, nearly constant Dark Eldar raids, and an Eldar Craftworld in the sector in which they are based.  Due to the need for the Marines to be deployed on multiple fronts, the ranking members of the Chapter agreed to allow the individual companies to be temporarily autonomous from Chapter command.  This autonomy was soon made nigh permanent when it was required for the Chapter to be deployed on a moment’s notice.    The Chapter command still holds absolute rule over the various companies.  However, due to the constant redeployment of Marin
